Orbit Drift has just one button, but mastering it takes rhythm. Here are five habits that help players clear the meteor gates more consistently.
1. Short taps, not panic
Every tap gives the same push. Two quick taps are almost always too much. Get used to tapping once, watching, and then deciding.
2. Read the next gap early
Gates appear far ahead of your orbit. As soon as you clear one, look at where the next gap sits — closer to the moon or farther out.
3. The outer orbit is faster
The farther you are from the moon, the faster the comet moves across the screen. Inner orbits give you more time to think, but drifting too close to the moon means a crash.
4. Stars are a bonus, not an obligation
The star in the middle of each gap is worth +5, but do not force it. Clear the gate safely first; big scores come from surviving longer.
5. Watch out for breathing gates
After a few gates, the gaps start drifting up and down. Enter when the gap is moving toward you, not away from you.
